KATRINE
My name’s Katrine and I’m 1 of the 2 blondes that will be working your next project! I grew up locally in the Tampa/St. Pete area and found my niche for project planning when I met my BFF Lisha (my partner in crime). We’re often mistaken for sisters because after spending so much time projecting together, we think on the same wave length and finish each other’s thoughts and sentences (usually about a project no less!).I’m definitely not the typical ‘Type A’ personality that you would expect from a project/event planner, but when it comes to taking on a new venture, I like them big and organized!! I love, love, love my label maker, but in all honesty if I had my choice, I’d be digging my hands into one of our dirt laden landscaping projects.
My spare time involves scrapbooking (no-brainer!), hitting the gym, Rays games and quality time with my fiancé Jonathan and my lab-mix Silky. You can catch me blogging on 2BP because I love to talk to a captive audience, so look for my words of wisdom to come!

ALISHA
Creativity has always been in my blood as my family has its share of artistic talent. I’ve always dreamed of being an interior designer (like my aunt) or an architect (like my uncle), but I decided to make my career in the health field as a dental hygienist, and I have enjoyed doing so for the last ten years. Along the way, I have loved decorating our home and helping friends with theirs. I have also designed and decorated our two tanning spas in which my husband and I own and operate. But, our journey is actually just beginning as we are about to embrace parenthood together, expecting our first baby, a ‘lil boy, in October!My BFF, aka “the other Blonde”, Katrine, and I actually tackled our first project together three years ago when we threw a double surprise party for my sisters 30th and my mom’s 60th birthdays. We had a blast! With one successful surprise party under our belt, we knew we could pull off a surprise 50th birthday party for Katrines mother-in-law to-be. And so, 2 Blondes & A Project was born…unofficially that is.
We realized just how many projects the two of us tackled together, from party planning to landscaping to painting the interior of Katrines house (twice in one year, lol). We always seemed to have a “project”. And if we didn’t have a project, we were itching to have our hands on something!
I have a passion for do-it-yourself décor and home projects. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to make something my “own”. I have an eye for the fine detail (the hygienist in me) and I LOVE to organize!! I love combining rich colors and neutrals and I love anything with texture!
With the support of the men in our lives, 2 Blondes & A Project was created as a place for us to share our projects and ideas. We take inspiration from so many things around us and we hope that our blog will keep your creative mind going and inspire you too!
